This is an Aran cardigan worked with a single strand of Airy Cotton. The design combines various classic Aran patterns for a vintage-inspired look that remains timeless. If you are comfortable reading both written and charted instructions, and can maintain pattern consistency while increasing or decreasing stitches, you will be able to follow the pattern without difficulty. The difficulty level is quite high, so it is recommended for experienced knitters or confident intermediates seeking a challenge. Because Airy Cotton is lightweight and has a long yardage, the finished piece remains light—around 300 g—even with dense Aran textures, and the patterns show beautifully with just one strand. If you wish to make a larger size than (L), you can use the same pattern with two strands of Airy Cotton and 5 mm needles. The cardigan is worked bottom up, with the front, back, and sleeves knitted separately and then seamed together.
