A baby romper made with soft Baby Cotton, a KC-certified yarn. The pattern includes sizes suitable for babies from around 200 days old to approximately two years old. The legs open completely, making the romper easy to put on and take off. With its sleeveless suspender-style design, it makes a cute layering piece over a lightweight top.

The upper front and back are worked flat separately, then joined to work the body in the round. The legs are worked flat again. A full video tutorial is included, providing detailed instructions throughout the entire process.

For the buttons, we recommend using 18 mm buttons for the shoulder straps and 10 mm snap buttons for the legs. The sample uses two 18 mm Oriental Domed 4-Hole Buttons for the shoulder straps and five 10 mm snap buttons for the legs. (You can adjust the number of snap buttons to five or six according to your preference.)

As buttons can pose a choking hazard, make sure they are securely attached so they cannot come loose.

Baby Cotton may shed slightly while being worked, but the shedding will lessen after washing and the fabric will settle into its finished form.
