A felted hobo bag made with thick, chunky Folk Wool, available in two sizes. First, knit the bag loosely and larger than the desired finished size using 8 mm needles, then wash it in a washing machine. As the fabric felts, the stitches become less defined and the bag takes on a sturdy, structured shape.

The bag gradually decreases in proportion from the body to the handles, creating a slim, polished fit that looks almost like a ready-made bag when carried.

The sample was felted twice using a standard wash cycle followed by a dryer cycle. Since washing machines vary, we recommend felting the bag gradually and adjusting the process to achieve your desired finished size.
