A lightweight and warm ear flap hat knitted with just one skein of fluffy Highland Alpaca Boucle yarn. The wide ear flaps create a cute, cozy fit, and the buttons allow you to style the hat in three different ways.

The hat is worked flat in garter stitch, turning the work back and forth. Instead of knitting in the round, you will knit the head, right ear flap, forehead, and left ear flap in order, then join the back of the head with whip stitch, making it easier to complete.

Due to the nature of the yarn, the stitches can be difficult to see, so we recommend practicing basic knitting techniques before starting this project. A full video tutorial is included, and one skein of yarn is enough to complete one hat.
